We love Paddy Bs!!! This is like our neighborhood pub. You know the servers by their first names, wave at the bartender, and share drinks and your day with the patrons. The owner comes over to make sure all is ok every time we are there. We eat here frequently because the food is good, reasonably priced and you are not rushed out the door!!! They recently expanded adding more seats in the bar area. TVs carry the local sports games and there is a jukebox when Chicago teams are dark!! We celebrated St Patrick Day there tonight with a delicious corned beef and cabbage dinner! A Jameson and 7 smoothed things out and all were happy. Thank you Paddy Bs. You rock!!!!

This place is a fantastic local bar. We came here with a group of 5 (we're in our late 20s) for the Hawks game and had a great time. They play Chelsea Dagger and have a red blinking light after every goal- can't beat that. There are a lot of regulars here but they couldn't be more friendly. The crowd is over 30, yes, so maybe don't come here trying to find a young bf. But you can tell the owners really cares about their business and the customers. We got free wings and pizza during the game- delicious!- and even got a drink comped. We will be back again! Thank you Paddy Bs!

If you looking for local Cheers type bar in this area, Paddy B's is it. There's always plenty of discussion going on across the U shaped bar. There's plenty of regulars that come in here, but newcomers will enjoy the ambiance. The crowd is thirty and over, and the place is very clean. This family run bar is a throwback to when the local bar was the gathering spot for the community and everyone knew your name.

Paddy B's is a nice local shot and a beer joint. I really enjoy the crowd and how close to home it is. Stop in and enjoy.

Great place. Awesome food. Bartenders can't be beat. Great local bar. Good place to catch a game, a bite to eat, or just for some drinks.

Love the atmosphere, food is very good and they have a great staff. You have to have Shannon's Bloody Mary. Best one out there!

What a dump. This place is not a dive; dives are fun. My friends and I started going here because it's in walking distance (so we wouldn't have to drive), and we also heard that the beers were cheap ($2 bottles every day). This was true. We enjoyed that. We never caused a ruckus or any trouble and tipped the trashy bartender well. In fact, she even gave us free shots on the first time came in there. It was as if she realized that we were new to the bar and she was trying to get us to want to come back, and it worked. Except, that when we'd come back, she was rude. She ignored us. She had an attitude. In fact, after a few more times at Paddy's we started getting charged $3.75 per beer! I'm not sure if that was the price for everyone, but I get the feeling she just started charging us that - and not the regulars. I confronted the female bartender about the price bump from $2, and she said they raised the prices to $2.75. Sorry lady, but my math is correct and you were charging $3.75 a bottle. Why in my right mind would I ever return to this godforsaken place that costs me nearly $5 (with tip) a bottle when I can go to Sandburg Maguire's or elsewhere for a cheaper beer and a better time? The regulars are 98% trash. On more than one occasion I've seen them throwing up, falling on their faces/heads, and then getting into their cars. (Good job bartenders.) There is a cool guy who bar backs there but that does not a great bar make.

Great family owned and operated bar! I wouldn't say I'm a regular but I do go often, it is my bar of choice. My parents try to go at least once every week for an early dinner and some drinks. My boyfriend and I use to go more often but since we moved about 20 miles away our visits have been cut down to weekends. We always get there early enough to get a bite to eat (kitchen closes at about 8 pm but you can also order Nancy's pizza from next door if you're too late for food) and then our friends join us - we LOVE their wings (no dipping sauce needed) & the fries, their burgers are very juicy & their sandwiches are great, my parents often get fish... oh and the chili is good too! There are TV's to watch sports or news or whatever you request and they have the i-touch tunes jukebox if you're wanting to play some music. They have daily specials for food and a full bar! Someone else on here said it's a 30's crowd, my friends & I have been going there since our early 20's - depending on the night it can be mixed - oh & all the regulars are kind, don't be afraid to chat! Side note, they took some of the wood from the original bar on 143rd & sw hwy to make the new bar.

The thing about Paddy B's is that you have to either happen to go there on a night that there's something special going on, like the nights of the Gaelic Park Irish Fest, or go with a ton of people you know. Cause the 'regular' crowd there can be a little sketchy. UPDATE June 2010: It's no longer there! They're moving farther west I believe. Oh well. No loss.

If you love local dive bars, then you'll love Paddy B's. It's located in Old Orland Park and it is the quintessential dive bar. On the weekends, in the back room they do Karaoke and it can be kinda fun. You usually get to sing as much as you want to. Between that and the cheap drinks, you gotta love it!

This review is only for the food. Paddy B's is a great neighborhood spot to drink, but in our experience the take-out food we got was definitely "meh". This was a little disappointing because we have actually had great food eating inside the restaurant, I'm not sure what went wrong. We live very close to Paddy B's new-ish strip mall location and decided to order some take out on a Friday night. We placed an order and were told it would take about 45 minutes before it was ready. Huh? I guess if they were swamped with people I can understand but we all ordered pretty regular fare like chicken wraps, a chicken dinner and a burger. By the time we got the food back to our house, everyone's stuff was either lukewarm or cold, but it also seemed like it might have been sitting for a while. This made the 45 minute wait even more unpleasant. Everyone's order was correct, but there wasn't really anything great about the food itself. I had a chicken wrap and it was very poorly put together, lots of wasted space inside the tortilla and overall kind of mushy/soggy. My Mom agreed that her fried chicken dinner was just alright, too. The only one who seemed to really like what they had was my brother, who got a burger. Though, me and him both agreed the fries were awful, like 90% sure they came out of a frozen Ore-Ida bag. This was hard to write, because we actually have had good food inside Paddy B's and I like it as a bar. My mother particularly remembers an excellent Reuben and myself a tasty corned beef sandwich. We will likely stick to the items we've had before; the chicken-based stuff didn't quite cut it.
